Oklahoma roots. Community power.

Hope is not
a feeling.
It's action.

We restore dignity, strengthen community, and create pathways for people to persevere—in excellence and on their own terms.

COMMUNITYis where hope becomes visible.

Hope looks like

Carethat restores dignity
Accessthat opens doors
Communitythat shows up
Actionthat changes lives
01 / Our Story

Built from a promise
to show up.

The H.O.P.E. Foundation—Helping Others Persevere in Excellence—was founded in 2022 from J’Shawna Smith’s lived experience of losing her mother to the disease of addiction and witnessing the homelessness and mental health challenges her mother experienced. From that loss came a promise to ensure others facing those same realities receive dignity, compassion, and practical support.

Our work helps that strength breathe. We bring people, partners, and resources together to meet real needs while honoring the full humanity of every neighbor we serve.

For us, hope is never passive. It is care with its sleeves rolled up.

02 / Day of Hope 2026

One afternoon.
Hope in action.

Our fourth Annual Day of Hope brought neighbors, volunteers, and partners together at Spin City Laundry for practical care, shared joy, and connection.

See what our community made possible.
03 / Our Work

Three connected ways
we put hope to work.

Our programs respond to immediate needs while building connection, confidence, and long-term possibility.

Muzik Fest ’26 · Boley, Oklahoma

Freedom. Hope. Beats. Unity.

A day of live music and shared humanity at John H. Lilley Correctional Center—created with artists, volunteers, and the men who filled the yard with energy, reflection, and hope.
